I am not a guru

That is baby me - the frame broke in my recent move, so she is chilling next to the stove for now until I get a new frame. The story goes that my dad couldn’t bear the thought of the other photos of me from this JC Penny photo shoot going into a dumpster when they went to pick them out, so he bought all of them, even though they totally couldn’t afford to at the time. Sometimes those sorts of money choices are just fine, and I’ll never tell you otherwise 🙂

I’ve had two really rad women sign on with me for month long money mentorship recently, and I don’t have any more space for this month, but I will have space opening up next month and beyond for others who are ready to receive support, accountability, guidance and big love as they heal their relationship with money. I have a special affinity for small business owners, but that is not a pre-requisite 🙂

I told someone today that I absolutely do NOT have money all “worked out” in my own life. I’m not a millionaire. But I understand the principles and am working towards my money goals just like they will be.

So if you want some guru type who makes it seem like they aren’t the same as you, that isn’t me. I am still trying to figure out how to consistently fund my retirement accounts, set up better savings/retirement for my kids, and have moments of total panic about whether or not my income this month will be enough to cover a full month of expenses down the road.

Thankfully I HAVE been a “month ahead” for many many years, and have built up a few months of emergency savings now, so I don’t have the fear of not being able to pay for this month’s stuff, or next month’s stuff though. I know that I can always pivot and have multiple ways of bringing money in, or slowing the money going out.

But all that is to say that I’m a regular ass lady like you. But I do know a heck of lot about money, money mindset, financial literacy, and how to absolutely rock a YNAB budget.
